In June 2005, CBPE backed the £28 million management buy-out of Luminar Enterprise division to create the UK’s second-largest independent nightclub operator. The new business, renamed CanDu Entertainment comprises 29 nightclubs and 20 high street bars, predominantly in regional towns across the UK and including 13 freehold sites.
