Sparrows is the global leader in the supply of crane and lifting equipment maintenance and support services to the offshore oil & gas sector. It has particular presence in the North Sea, Gulf of Mexico, South America, Caspian, Middle East, West Africa and Asia/Pacific regions.  The business has grown steadily by incremental contract wins and acquisitions of complementary businesses that consolidate its offering to customers.

CBPE backed the MBO of Sparrows from its former parent, LMS Capital in March 2008. Since then, management has made one further bolt-on acquisition, with more planned to further enhance the group's service offering and geographical coverage.
