Warwick was acquired from Sequa Corp., a large US engineering business.

At the time of the buyout Warwick consisted of two separate businesses, a speciality chemical manufacturer and a broad network of niche chemical distributors based across Europe and Asia.  The distribution business was sold in 2010 to IMCD Group BV. 

The remaining chemical manufacturing business is the global market leader in the production of bleach activators used in the laundry detergents market.

Management are now concentrating on the creation of a focused manufacturing business, which includes investing significant capital in the manufacturing site in Mostyn, Wales.
