CBPE led the MBO of Yorkshire-based AGC from Associated British Foods in December 2002. AGC is the UK's leading manufacturer of glass containers for premium consumer products such as spirits and fine foods. It specialises in making containers which have complex shapes, such as flasks, flagons and proprietary bottles for specific brands.

During the period of our ownership, AGC grew its revenues by over 40% and invested £30m in its two manufacturing sites including increased furnace capacity at AGC's site in Knottingley.
