CBPE backed the MBI of European Golf Brands in February 2000. The business, which formerly consisted of two separate private companies, was merged under the leadership of Mike Snapes, the incoming chairman, to create the world's leading manufacturer of electric powered golf trolleys.

During our ownership, the group significantly enhanced its product portfolio and saw strong growth in sales and profits. The business was sold in January 2004 to a financial investor.
