CBPE backed the MBO of V.Ships with an investment of $30m in March 2003 and have worked with the management team, now led by Donald Anderson, to grow the group organically and by bolt-on-acquistion of several complimentary businesses.

V.Holdings comprises of V.Ships, the world's largest third-party manager of vessels in both the cargo and leisure sector and V.People, a leading provide of manpower in the energy sector. V.Ships has an international network of 68 offices in over 40 countries. The main areas of operation are UK, Asia and Western Europe.

CBPE exited V. Ships to Exponent and Management in March 2007.
